The Balm "Batter Up" [Review]

Introducing the newest eyeshadow stick from the Balm cosmetics called "Batter Up"

Batter Up® is a series of long-wearing cream shadow sticks for girls who know how to play the field! These high-pigment shadow and base multi-taskers come in eight blendable and buildable shades — score! Batter Up® is formulated to guarantee you’ve got your winning face on, even after extra innings! (via thebalm.com)

I wouldn't call myself an eyeshadow lover before (simply because of my monolid asian eyes) but yet after i try the Balm eyeshadow stick BATTER UP,  i've been adding these babies into my everyday make up routine!
They took a baseball theme for the packaging and the name of each color.

These eyeshadow sticks are so easy to use, highly pigmented and long lasting!
It's everything we could've ask for any make up :)
On the cons in my opinion is they don't blend easily.

Here is the tips that you can find on their packages :
How to Apply: For full payoff, apply directly to lid and blend with brush. For a more sheer wash of color, apply to brush first, then sweep onto lids.

My personal preference when using these babies, is simply apply it from the stick to my eyelid and blend it with brush or sometimes with my pinky finger :)
And to emphasize my lid, i use it on my crease with my brush.

What i love more about these eyeshadow sticks are you can always be playful with it's color,
For my everyday make up i use 1 to 2 mix of color, for a night out i usually use 3 mix of color.

Here are the Swatches (from top to bottom)
Moonshot, Shutout, Curveball, Dugout, Outfield, Night game

Overall review, I think these eyeshadow sticks are uh-mazing!
It is a must have item for any make up lovers or even if you just a makeup anthusiast ;)
I highly recommend these babies if you want to upgrade your daily make up routine.

3 ways to rock the Shirt Dress!

Holla, i'm back in the blog with my 3ways styling tips!
This time i'm styling a shirt dress into 3 ways

I got this oh-so-versatile shirt dress from @Libetarians.co

and here is my first look on the shirt dress

For the 1st look, i'm wearing this shirt dress as a semi outer, i put on my basic black inner which  from H&M and i add a statement chocker.

Now for the 2nd look, i add some swirl by pairing it with a short pleated skirt.
oh! by the way i love that this shirt dress has 2 pockets on the side, when function meets fashion :)

And for my 3rd look, i got some inspiration from instagram to do this skirt look with a shirt dress.
Just have it buttoned halfway around your waist, tucked in the rest of it and finally tie a knot with it's sleeve, voila! you have a skirt now.

ps: use a pin to secure the knot ;)

So, that's all my 3 ways look on how to style a shirt dress!
Hope you all got some inspiration to try it and share to me if you have any questions or if you want to ask how to style something :)

Shape My Brows | Review Sulam Alis

An on-fleek Eyebrow is now every girl's must have! Don't you agree?
We can not leave home without our eyebrows on point nowadays.
As for me, my natural eyebrow hair and shape is so unattractive so i used to draw my eyebrow every single day and i have to re-shape or do threading every now and then to maintain it shape.
There are days where i can draw my eyebrow on point, but there are more days that i have to draw it over and over just to get the right shape :( true story!

So after a while i finally decided to do an eyebrow embroidery!
I always wanted a natural looking eyebrow that doesn't imply the embroidery,
Then i found the perfect place that matches my style, @Shapemybrows by Nicky Septiani.
I love love love love love how she did my eyebrow :) exaggerating needed!

The Certification from Korea.

So here is a full review on my routine changing experience !

I did my 1st appointment for the eyebrow embroidery on May 12th.
First things first she asked me what shape do i want and what embroidery techniques and color that i want for my eyebrow, it's important to have a good consultation with the beautician first!

Here is what my natural eyebrow looks like

Right after it, she then draw the shape of my eyebrow as consulted before.
It might takes a few work but the shaping is important and she did it meticulously as i wanted,
I believe that on this stage, we have to be satisfied with the finish shape that the beautician drew because it will affect the end result.

And then comes the embroidery part, i've given an anaesthesy cream and i have to wait for it to work for about half an hour, then it numbs my eyebrow while later being embroidered.

The process is exceptionally faster that i thought it would be, after the consultation we agreed on the Fushion brow which is done by 6D and gradation shading, so basically 6D techniques is the one that gave the stroke affect on the eyebrow and the gradation shading is the one that fills the shade of the eyebrow also it gave color gradient.
This process only took half and hour and that's all!

My first looking eyebrow embroidery

Day 1
*Please note that for 2 weeks the newly embroidered eyebrow can not get wet* but only for 2 weeks tho :)

Day 6
During the peel off stages, it felt a little bit itchy but worry not because i've been given a cream that can sooth the itchiness. On this stage my eyebrow is started to peeled off by itself and i shouldn't scratch or rub it, but it' didn't look as bad as i think it would tho.

Week 4

After 3 weeks i decided to strengthen the shape and the color of my eyebrow with an eyebrow pencil when i'm about to go out.
Then i did my eyebrow embroidery retouching on July, it usually takes 1-2 months after the 1st appointment.

Day 1 after retouching

i'm satisfied with the end result of the embroidery, it ended up just like i want it.
Now i don't have to worry when i have to put my make up off!

Denim with a Twist

Still inspired by the 70's style
I'm pairing my culotte with a bell shape sleeve denim top.

I love the the fact that an off shoulder top gives me a delicate silhouette that elongates my shoulder and neckline.

As a plus size with a rather large bust, sometimes it's tricky to wear an off shoulder top, you have to wear the right bra that can still support your uhmf-va-va-voom! (read:breast) without showing it straps on your shoulder, or else your bust will look like a baggy one ;(

So, my easiest trick on wearing an off shoulder top is that i wear my usual bra with straps and tighten the bra-straps then pull it aside right under the shoulder line of the top.

Yes, it sometimes feel kinda uncomfortable but i think a few adjustment can be done rather than wearing a strapless bra that sometimes can make our bust looked baggy.

So, let me know what you think of this trick, or maybe if you have your own trick on wearing an off shoulder top :)

Pastel Mood Outfit

2016 Pantone Color is all about blush pink and pastel.

So, Here i am trying to reflect the blush pink pantone color into my own interpretation.

Playing with a light color and no black color i shown which is rarely a view in my outfit palette.

But it turns out pretty ok tho! Plus size can look awesome and girly too in light pastel color :)

The key is in the Proportion and Fitting!

Find the perfect fitted pastel top or bottom, for me it is better to wear a light pastel top, because i have a larger bottom body shape, so i chose a slightly darker pastel color which is a light grey pleated skirt, and tucked in my top so it can accentuate my waist line.

Here is my inspiration color palette for this look :)

For my make up inspirations you guys can also find it on Zalora

LT Pro indonesia in Zalora has so many new shades that i love on Matte lip cream and eye shadows.

Hats Up!

One of my on-the-go items that i usually carry is a Hat !
Oh! and don't forget to wear em on your OOTD to elevate your total look.

i love wearing hat so much, because not only it'll make you stand out among the others, it'll also make you look more stylish :p

Here are some tips and tricks on how to pull off on-the-trend hats.

1. Brim Hat

Brim hat is one of the most seen hat on every blogger's OOTD,
Yup! because of its large brim, this type of hat usually fit to just every shape of faces.
There are many types of brim hats with the variety of the brims wide itself, i got mine from My Boyfie as my Christmas Present, but you can get this hat on H&M :)

2.  Beanie Hat

Beanie is on the trend nowadays, though i'm actually are not really a typical beanie kinda girl
So i chose to buy a light pink beanie from Forever21
When wearing beanie, i prefer to fold it a little around my head and Swag it ! it actually works for my face shape, which is a heart shape and a little chubby ;)

3. Bowler Hat

Bowler hat is also a pretty easy hat to pull off with, the tips on choosing one is first you have to try it on, choose the one that fits your head right, not too wide though and also wear it a bit diagonally positioned to the back of your head and show your pretty bangs! it's important to place your bangs correctly when wearing a hat :)

This one is also form Forever21

4. Beret Hat

As you guys see on my previous blog, i have been obsessing over beret hat.
It'll likely be on the scene on my more and upcoming OOTD :)
My trick on wearing em is to pull it a little to the side, i prefer to pull it align with the direction of my bangs.
i got this black one from Pomelo

My number 1 tips on how to pull off hats is to always takes care of your hair :)
even though i'm planning on to wear hat that day, i always wash and styled my hair beforehand, So that the hat can be a complementary accessories that elevate my looks, but the real diamond is your HAIR, babyy!!!
